Raspberry Chambord Jam

First of all, Oh Myyyyy!  It was amazing/  I halved this recipe, as raspberries weren't cheap! (next time I try frozen)  I don't know where I found this recipe, but it was great consistency and yummy.  Our first use of it was on vanilla ice cream. It was awesome! Super easy too. Raspberry Chambord Jam 2 Cup raspberries (fresh or frozen) 2 Cup sugar 2 Tbl Chambord or Black Raspberry Liquer Cook raspberries until they release their juices and boil for 3 minutes. Add in sugar and boil for another 2 minutes.  Allow to cool slightly and stir in Chambord.

An Unexpected Dinner

In a hole in the ground there lived a boy.  Some of it was nasty and dirty as it was inhabited by a tween and had an oozy smell, but it wasn't a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: (as there was a mom) it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.  If you can't tell we are huge fans of Tolkien and are also a bit nerdy. (and proud of it I may add:)  We noticed a while back that The Hobbit was coming out on DVD today and decided on planning an 'unexpected dinner' to celebrate.  So we have kept as quiet as possible that The Hobbit was coming out today, as we wanted to surprise the boy with dinner and a movie.  There was that moment when I was furiously fast forwarding through the commericals when he spied a commerical for it, but I blew it off, and he seemed to buy it.  I looked at a lot of sites for recipes and ideas.  I loved the old recipes I found (some from the 1600's) to make for this dinner.  I h...

Maple Bacon Jam And Brie Panini

Bear with me, the recipe is worth it!  A while back, I found this great site called Foodbuzz.  It was like facebook for food bloggers.  It helped us connect with each other, trade recipes and help promote others doing what we do.  Then Foodbuzz decided to take a perfectly great thing and ruin it.  It is now kind of a newsletter of what's hot right now. :/  Why am I ranting about this now, many months later?  Well, this recipe was from a fellow blogger and I noted the web address through Foodbuzz.  That page no longer exists and I can't find the recipe with a Google search.  I really tried and went through pages and pages of the search.  So, I can't give credit where credit is due and provide a link for the source of the recipe.  If through some quirk of fate, the person who posted this or someone who knows the person who posted this, reads this, PLEASE let me know so I can use a link to your recipe.  OK!  Blogger stuf...
